Networking via the mains
Turn the electrical wiring in your home or office into a local area network.
I’ve just invested in a Devolo high speed networking kit to create a quick and easy network. I’ve had difficulties using wireless networking because of thick walls in our building, and this was no-brainer. Just plug each PC into the blue adapter (looks like a circuit breaker or a timer) and straight into the mains. Voila. Quick, easy high speed networking. I’ve shared my broadband internet, the computers and printers in the matter of minutes.
Cool toy, great business benefits.

Yes – this technology works very well and is generally a lot easier to set up than wireless. If you just want to link static PCs and aren’t bothered about sitting outside with the laptop it may well be a better bet.
