Very dubious moment of fame... Burton-on-Trent
Andy Warhol said we all have our 15 minutes of fame. I want mine to be the right kind of fame, not to be singled out for ridicule or the butt of jokes. And certainly not to be used as an example on a weblog of very bad practice.
This is the situation for poor little Burton-on-Trent being picked on by very big Vincent Flanders as the "Daily Sucker - Current Examples of Bad Web Design Techniques." Burton has the dubious honour of being the highlighted site for 21 Jan 2005.
Clearly the site is popular with Old Burtonians from far afield as Australia and the USA as they have made special requests to include pictures of the Ordance Depot and the Crematorium.
Eddie, who manages the site, must be scratching his head and wondering where the heck all this web traffic is coming from. Little does he know...
